Crop Top Weather Ab Attack Workout

It's that time of year again.... We are getting ever closer to warmer weather and (dreaded for some) bikini season! With the crop top trend flying off the charts and sunshine poking through the clouds, it's time to consider amping up - or starting - to get toned in that tummy area. I know this is a particular problem area for many women, myself included, and it is probably one of the hardest areas on the body to tone up and get definition. Hard, but not impossible! With this in mind I've come up with a little routine that you can easily fit into a busy day and do in your living room; no equipment needed!

If you are really serious about getting those abs to poke through, you probably should cut down on the sugar (yep, put that Easter chocolate down!) and generally be a little more active in the cardio department. These things will work alongside this routine to get your midriff crop top ready!

If you are unsure about each move, try looking on YouTube or simply Google to check you are performing each exercise correctly. I've picked exercises that I personally find most effective and that target your whole core area. I would suggest doing 10-20 reps of each exercise for 3 sets.

Plank - the ultimate core toner! Works all your abs along with many other muscles in your body. Try and hold this position for as long as you can!
Double leg lift - Works your lower abs, targeting that muffin top! Put your hands under your tail bone for extra support.
Criss-cross crunches - Works your transverse abs, those muscles that when defined appear as two lines down your tummy. Really drive forward with your shoulder on this one, it's not about your elbows!
V-ups - These are quite hard, they really work all your abs. Do as many as you can!
Hip twists - Working your oblique muscles that will pull in your waistline to make it appear smaller.
Crunches - Good old fashioned crunches! Lift your legs into the air if these are too easy for you. They work the upper abs.
Single leg drop - And another exercise targeting that lower belly pooch!

Try to do as many of each as you can, don't worry if you can't do 20 if you are just starting out, you'll improve quickly with practice! But at the same time, push yourself! A toned body is earned, not given.
